Beef Steak with Mushroom Sauce

Ingredients
- 1 Piece Beef Fillet
- ¼ Teaspoon Salt
- ¼ Teaspoon Paprika
- ¼ Teaspoon Black pepper
- ¼ Teaspoon Coriander
The Mushroom Sauce :
- 4 Tablespoons Oil
- 1 Medium Thinly Sliced Onion
- 2 Cloves Minced garlic
- 20 Medium Mushrooms
- 5 Medium Chopped mushrooms
- 1 Cup Whipping cream
- ½ Cup Broth or water
For garnishing:
- 2 Tablespoons Chopped parsley
Instructions
- Slice the beef fillet into 1-inch slices.
- Between 2 pieces of parchment paper, pound the fillet slices until ½ inch thick steaks.
- Season the steaks with the salt, paprika, black pepper and coriander.
- In a large heavy skillet heat 2 tablespoons of the oil over medium heat. Add the steaks. Wait until the bottom is dark brown but not burned. Turn the stakes on the other side and wait until brown. Remove the fillet from the skillet and set aside.
The mushroom sauce:
- to the same skillet, add the rest of the oil. Add the onions and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes. Add the garlic, whole mushrooms and chopped mushrooms. Stir until mushrooms dry. Add the cream and water. Let the sauce boil for 3-4 minutes then add the steaks and simmer for 3-4 more minutes.
To serve:
- arrange the steaks in a serving plate, drizzle with the sauce and garnish with the parsly.
